Gloria J. Coffey "Flo" 64, of Unadilla passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
She was born March 10, 1951, daughter of the late Donald W. and Gladys (Pilkerton) Schreier, Sr. in Maryland.
Gloria was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. For many years she worked as a respite aide for Springbrook in Milford. She was also a member of TOPS (a local weight loss support group). Gloria loved to collect apple décor, enjoyed online poker, going to Bingo with her sister and shopping with her buddies. She was also an avid animal lover.
Throughout the years, Gloria and Robert met many truck drivers by helping the when broken down. Whenever a trucker asked for help, "Sugar Britches" was the friendly voice on the other end of the CB that truckers came to rely on.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert Coffey, Sr. Unadilla
Daughter, Tara Coffey Stanton and her husband Donald, Sr. Unadilla, grandchildren Chanze Vandermark and Samantha Scott, great grandson Logan Vandermark of Unadilla. Grandchildren, Hannah and Elizabeth Stanton, Unadilla, Coco Stanton, Deposit, Donald Stanton, Jr. Afton, and Tiffany Stanton, Walton
Son, Robert Coffey Jr. and his wife Nikki and granddaughter, Abigail of Masury, OH
Son Donald Coffey and his wife Jeanette and grandchildren, Dawson and Taylor, Unadilla
Daughter, Rebecca Coffey and Todd Sisson, Grandchildren, Raymond, East Meredith, Jasmine and great grandson, Reice Tenace, Wells Bridge and Brock, Gage and Hailey Sisson, Unadilla.
Sister, Donna Dailey and Gary Moore, Harpursville
Best friend, Susan "Susie" Winters and her daughters, Jordanna and Shanna Delrosario Taynor, Unadilla
And nine additional great grandchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Donald "Tug" and Gladys Schreier, Sister Patricia Hiller and brother Donald "Joe" Schreier, Jr.
Friends may call Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 3-5 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney.
Funeral services will follow at 5:00 PM in the funeral chapel with Rev. Benjamin Shaw officiating.
