Obituary of Timothy Sean Vreugdenhil

Timothy S. Vreugdenhil Mt. Upton, NY Timothy Sean Vreugdenhil 48, of Mt. Upton, went to be with the angels on Friday, February 19, 2016. He was predeceased by his parents, Arie H. Vreugdenhil and Michele F. Paffenroth, and step-father, Peter Paffenroth. Tim was a soft spoken, private man who dedicated his life to his son. He loved fishing and camping. He loved all sports, especially basketball: during his years in high school in Cypress, CA, where he graduated from, he was a stellar performer. He always had a kind word and was very humble. His family was the most important thing, and of course, his little buddy, Mac, however called Pugsley by his sister. His working career was spent as a lithographer in Buena Park, CA. Missing his hometown of Gilbertsville, he and his son drove cross country to settle in Mt. Upton and enjoy life. Tim is survived by: his son, Shane; two sisters: Lorraine Obergefell (Richard Manley) of Banning, CA and Cindy Jackson (Jim) of Meridale, NY; two brothers: John Vreugdenhil and Casey Vreugdenhil (Amy), each of Banning, CA; several step-brothers and sisters; 3 nieces: Bridget (Sean) Barrows of Rockdale, NY; Heather Merchberger (Rick) of Cerritos, CA; and Jennifer Brooks of Keene, NY; grand-niece, Lauren Merchberger; grand-nephews, Jason, Brandon and Nathan Barrows and Julian and Carter Smith. Friends may call Monday, February 22, from 6-8 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 23 at 11:00 am at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery in Gilbertsville at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to his only child, Shane, c/o Cindy Jackson, 6349 State Highway 28 Meridale, NY 13806.
