Barbara Ann Gould
Bainbridge—Barbara Ann Gould, 62, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2016. She passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer for the last nine years.
Barbara was born on September 5, 1954, daughter of the late Richard and Marilyn (Miller) Stevens in Sidney, NY.
She worked for ACCO Brands in Sidney for several years. She was a member of the Afton Baptist Church, the Bainbridge Fire Department Women's Auxiliary and a dedicated volunteer with the Relay for Life, participating with team TT 2nd Chance.
Barbara was a true fighter who never gave up. She touched many lives and will be truly missed.
She is survived by: her beloved husband of 46 years, George Gould of Bainbridge; four daughters: Cheryl Gould and Jeff Pomeroy of Walton, Kimberly and Tim Constable of Sidney, Tracy and Douglas Ticknor of Afton and Lori Smith and Dave Hotaling of Sidney; sister, Carol Stevens of Norwich; brother, Rusty and Nan Richards of Bainbridge; 8 grandchildren: Austin Ticknor (Tierney Decker), Jordan Constable (Taylor Jordan), Jaymie Ticknor, Mackenzie Constable, Corbin Constable, Tara Smith, Damien Smith and Samantha Constable; canine companion, Oscar; special aunt, Peggy Miller of Unadilla; aunts: Martha Manning, Marjorie Rozzell and Marcia Sherman, all of Bainbridge; uncle, Ernie Miller of Bainbridge; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm and 5:00-7:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, November 18th at the Afton Baptist Church, 30 Caswell St. Afton, NY 13730. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Chenango County 21 Hayes St. Norwich, NY 13815. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
