Obituary of Raymond J. Keckeisen
Please share a memory of Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved Raymond Joseph Keckeisen died suddenly at home on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017. Born January 29, 1989, he is survived by parents, Raymond and Lorraine Keckeisen; brother, Ryan Lee Keckeisen Bramich, loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Raymond lived his life through the eyes of an artist, lighting our lives with colorful sensitivity and warmth. Raymond expressed genuine soulful love to all who knew him. He served as an alter server at St. Joseph's Church in Ronkonkoma and then at Sacred Heart in Sidney. He graduated Sidney High School on the Dean's list and attended Pratt Munson William Proctor Institute with honorable mention. His charcoal sketches and drawings are amazing. On the top of Raymond's gratitude list were, "My mom, my dad and my brother."
He loved to take nature walks and playing with his cats, especially Cali. The beach, boogie boards and ocean waves delighted him. He worked at Price Chopper deli and then Spring Brook in Sidney; there he was known as Sunshine Ray, adored by his residents too. Raymond enjoyed cooking, making the best pizza and garlic knots – dousing most everything he ate with spicy hot sauce.
God made us family. Raymond was loved by God Parents, Aunt Joan and Uncle Mark Sabella; Aunt Lynn and Uncle Bill Schuck; Aunt Kathy and Uncle Richard Corbisiero; Aunt Kim and Uncle Robert Corbisiero; and cousins Mark and Steven Sabella; David Schuck; Alex and Kristyn Corbisiero; Andrew and Kristina Boccio; Edward Bopp; Joseph, James and Brian Keckeisen.
He leaves behind many loving friends, co-workers and neighbors too, especially Judy and Bob Basile and George and Jean Marie Innes.
Now Raymond rests peacefully in the light and loving arms of Jesus Christ. Our beloved son and brother is safe. We have nothing to worry about.
