Obituary of Joseph Strader

Joseph Strader, age 76, passed away at the Veteran's Home in Oxford, NY on July 5, 2017. Joseph was born on January 26, 1941 in East Stroudsburg, PA to parents Joseph Strader Sr. and Rose Strader (nee Simon). He lived in Northern NJ for the majority of his life. Joseph married Frances Helen Brower on February 3, 1964 in NJ. Together they had one daughter, Elizabeth, and were married for 32 years before Frances passed away on October 26, 1996. Joseph and Frances had one grandchild, Paul Joseph Slack, who they adored. Joseph honorably served in the United States Army. He was an auto mechanic by trade, and an avid hunter and fisherman. Joseph loved the outdoors and spent the majority of his time landscaping and renovating his property. Surviving are Joseph's daughter, Elizabeth Madugno (nee Strader) and son-in-law Mark Madugno of Mount Upton, NY, a grandson, Paul Joseph Slack, and his fiancée Kristina Figary, of Oxford, NY. Joseph also had four great-grandchildren, Hayley, Jack, Kayla, and Trenton. The immediate family will be celebrating Joseph's life in private.
