James T. Inman
Mt. Upton, NY
It is with great sadness that the family of James T. Inman (Jim) announces his passing Thursday, December 7, 2017 at his Mt. Upton, New York home at the age of 87 years. He was born in Binghamton, New York January 22, 1930, and raised in Castle Creek, New York.
Jim Attended Chenango Forks School and left early and became employed at Endicott Johnson in the 1940s. He worked there several years and in 1955 became an employee of Addressograph Multigraph, later known as AM International, retiring from there in 1991.
As a young man, Jim began taking in Bible knowledge, and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1951. He served as an elder for many years and later as a ministerial servant. He cherished the Bible's promises.
He enjoyed playing his harmonica and did so expertly. Along with a dry sense of humor, he often spoke with puns. He regretted not finishing school; therefore, he studied diligently to receive his well-earned diploma in 1997.
His special parents, Augustus and Rose Hibler Inman predeceased him in 1981; additionally, he was predeceased by his dear brothers Richard Inman and Robert Inman, sister Marie Inman Dodge, and his first wife Blanche Harper.
Jim is survived by his wife Phyllis, Mt Upton, son Jason of Texas, daughter Susan of Florida, daughter Jodi (Justin) Youngs of Mt Upton and precious grandchildren Tyler Lindsley, Justin Youngs Jr., Gage Youngs, Kayla Youngs, and beloved cat, Hobey. He is survived by his dear sister Alene Inman McAvoy, and several nieces and nephews.
Service arrangements are incomplete at this time.
Jim will be sadly missed by his family and Christian brotherhood.
