Ronald L. Hine, age 80, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in his home surrounded by family. He was born to the late Gerald and Elizabeth (Manderville) Hine on February 16, 1938 in Bainbridge, NY. He was the youngest of ten siblings and is survived by his sister Marion (Polly) Johnson of Johnson City, NY.

He is also survived by his wife, Beatrice Hine of Sidney, NY. His children: Evelyn Plante (CA), Ronald & Diana Hine (NY), Valarie Hummel (NY), Jenny and Ronald Nemire (NY). His grandchildren and their families: Rachel Salinas (CA), Regina Lackey (CA), Ronald Hine III (TX), Veronia Hine (NY), Andrew Hummel (PA), Tyler Hummel (GA), Zachary Sherman (NY), David M. Sherman (NY), Jennifer Thorne (NY) and Matthew Nemire (NY). Preceded by his grandson Shawn Hummel and granddaughter Kesha Gladman.

Everyone who knows Ron, knows he loved his family, friends and all the small and simple things his life afforded him. From the freedoms, views and experiences of being a truck driver for over twenty years to the brain teasers, nicknames and shenanigans he played on family and friends. He also enjoyed singing and playing guitar with his old time country band friends and was content bringing out the laughter and joy in those around him.
