Obituary of Doris M. Frembes
Please share a memory of Doris to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Doris M. Frembes, 92, of Masonville passed peacefully at Wilson Regional Medical Center on Friday, May 11. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Miller on May 30, 1925 in the town of Hamden. Mrs. Frembes spent 50 joyful years married to Donald Frembes before his passing in 1996.
As a young adult she was an enthusiastic short stop on her softball team and was an avid Yankees fan throughout her life. Mrs. Frembes enjoyed showing her love for her family through cooking. The smell of fresh cinnamon buns evokes a strong memory of wonderful times. We also fondly remember hearing Mom/Grandma singing her favorite hymn, « How Great Thou Art » as she worked around the house.
She is predeceased by her brother Lee (and Azalea) Miller and is survived by her three beloved daughters, Kathy (and Wayne) Lamoree, Sylvia (and John) Alphonse, and Donna Hine, as well as grandchildren, Joseph Lamoree, Lizzie Lamoree (and James Mello), Daniel (and Cherie) Lamoree, Christy (and Michael) Boise, Sarah Alphonse, Jennifer Moyer, Louis Alphonse, John J. Alphonse and Veronica Hine, and great grandchildren Poppy and Rosie Mello.
At her request, there will be no public services.
