Obituary of Edward Ziobro

Edward Ziobro, Jr., 69, of Mt. Upton, passed away on January 2, 2020, at Fox Hospital in Oneonta. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Melody, and his three daughters who were his pride and joy and his greatest achievement: Heather Ziobro of Auburn, NY; Heidi Ziobro and her husband Sinan Erzurumlu of Needham, MA; and Hayle Ziobro and her partner Amber Benlian of Washington, D.C. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Evren and Esra Ziobro Erzurumlu and Olive and Maezie Ziobro. Ed was born on September 30, 1950 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and lived much of his life in Mt. Upton. He was a graduate of Mt. Upton Central School and received a BS in Accounting and an MBA from Syracuse University. He was employed at Amphenol in Sidney for 35 years. Ed was predeceased by his mother Genevieve, who was raised in Lublin, Poland, and is survived by his father Edward Ziobro Sr., who was raised in Strzy?ów, Poland. He is also survived by his brother Andrew Ziobro of New York City, his sister Elizabeth Rutkowski and her husband Charlie of Springfield, Virginia, and his niece Ursula Ziobro Matthews and her family. Ed's family would like to express their thanks to the many true friends who offered their help and support in recent years. Ed played hard, travelled far and enjoyed more true adventures than most of us will ever get to experience. A mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church 15 Liberty St. Sidney, NY on Saturday, January 11th at 11:00am. A burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Mt Upton.
