Freida May Alcott, 88 of Bainbridge passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 3, 2020 at St. Louise Manor, Binghamton, NY.
She was born July 27, 1931, daughter of the late Claude A. and Celia (Woods) Manwarren in Oxford, NY.
Freida married Edward Alcott on January 16, 1954 in Bainbridge, together they built their home and raised a family enjoying almost 60 years of marriage.
She was employed and retired as a factory worker for Keith Clark in Sidney.
Freida was a member of the Bainbridge pitch club that played every Thursday. She enjoyed being outside and gardening. Also, she loved to cook and bake, her kitchen was her sanctuary. Lastly, she loved her grandkids and family greatly.
Freida is survived by: three daughters: Karen Conklin, Unadilla; Donna Fletcher, Greene and Norma Alcott, Bainbridge; grandchildren: Danielle (Scott) Hoeppner, Whitney Point; James Fletcher, Greene; Jonathan Fletcher (Amy Virga), Delhi; Caleb (Sandra) Conklin, Endicott; and Jalon Conklin, Barton; great-grandchildren: Alex, Madison and Claire Hoeppner, Otto Fletcher, James and Andrew Conklin and Kelsey Ellis; sisters: Geraldine Ireland, Union Valley; Alta Uhlig, SC; Phyllis Castle, Bainbridge and Linda Tragakis, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also predeceased by her Husband Edward, grandson, Joshua Conklin, Sisters Doris and Ida Loomis and Brother, Alvin Manwarren.
Friends may call Friday February 7, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Terri Barnhart of Bainbridge officiating.
Burial will be in West Bainbridge Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the West Bainbridge Cemetery Association.
