Front Royal, VA
Linda Lou Hamilton, 75, formerly of Sidney, passed away on Monday morning, July 13, 2020 at her home in Front Royal, VA. She was born on November 22, 1944, daughter of the late LaMont and Frances (Birdsall) Faigle and grew up on her family farm in Wells Bridge.
On May 9, 1965, Linda was married to Kenneth L. Hamilton. They shared 52 years of marriage before he predeceased her October 16, 2017.
They spent many years in the Sidney area before moving south, living in Little River, SC for 16 years, then moving to Front Royal, VA in November 2015 to be closer to their son and daughter-in-law.
Linda will be missed by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Cheryl Hamilton of Front Royal, VA; two sisters, Shirley Cutting and Carol Barnhart, both of Sidney; brothers-in-law: Paul and Pat Hamilton of Sidney, Gary and Penny Hamilton of Sidney, and Robert and Janet Hamilton of Fort Mill, SC; sisters-in-law, Sharron and Art Sandberg of Norwich, and Barbara Hardie of Endicott, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Linda was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Hamilton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Betty Hamilton and brothers-in-law, John Cutting and Jim Barnhart.
A private funeral for the immediate family will be conducted at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will take place in Sand Hill Cemetery in Wells Bridge on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 1:00pm. Due to COVID-19, masks are required, and social distancing must be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Linda's memory may be directed to the Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church, earmarked for the Westminster Preschool, PO Box 277 N. Myrtle Beach, SC 29597 or to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Court St. # 405, Winchester, VA 22601.
