Obituary of Lucas M. Pikul
Please share a memory of Lucas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lucas Matthew Pikul, 24, of Guilford, passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2020.
Lucas is survived by his parents, Matthew Pikul and Tracy Barnard Pikul; siblings: Joseph and Meghan Pikul, Montana Pikul and Mallory Pikul; grandfather, Terry Barnard (Pam Crans); grandmother, Brenda Barnard (Jim Scotti); grandmother, Elaine “Nana” Pikul, as well as many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his cousin, Brandon “Herb” Palmatier; maternal great-grandparents, Joyce Barnard, Thomas Egnaczak, Eunice Egnaczak and Marian Hinkley; and paternal grandfather, Peter “Poppy” Pikul.
Lucas was a caring, thoughtful, creative, kind, funny, loving, resourceful, adventurous young man.
Lucas enjoyed helping his father on the family farm. He enjoyed the moon and stars, and hanging out, talking and contemplating life with his mother. Lucas had a gift for fixing and running equipment. He loved anything with a motor, especially if it could go fast. If you were a passenger, you held on tight and were happy to be returned unscathed. He was also talented at buying and reselling anything, and was talented at problem solving.
He loved the family farm dog, Otis. He was a loved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend. If he loved you, you knew it; there was no question about it. He was extremely proud of his brother and sisters and loved them so much.
He enjoyed lifting weights, junk food (especially chocolate milk), listening to music, and sometimes singing along out loud, hunting, fishing, and riding horses. Getting a rise out of people was his specialty. He loved bonfires, volleyball with friends. He made and left an impression. Recently he developed strong, healthy friendships and left a huge impact. He used his humor to help others.
Lucas grew to love a horse named Big Red, and rode him in a rodeo. He left behind a countless amount of memories.
He will be forever and ever deeply missed.
