Obituary of Lois Elsie Lundgren

Lois Lundgren of Congers and Binghamton, NY, 85 years old, went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2020. Her final days were spent at home surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her loving husband Don Lundgren, sister Joan O'Meara and niece Cynthia O'Meara. She is survived by her cherished children; Larry and Mary Liz Lundgren, Donna and Steve Gaydorus, and Dave Lundgren, beloved grandchildren; Kit Gaydorus, Kevin Gaydorus, Patrick Lundgren, Thomas Lundgren, and Zoe Lundgren; niece Kathleen Bale and nephew Patrick O'Meara, and her beloved dog Toby. Lois was born in the beautiful Bronx, the daughter of George and Helen Bringmann. She graduated from Walton High School and soon after married her Bronx sweetheart Don. They raised their family in Congers, enjoying many years of happiness and cherished friendships with neighbors who were like family. Lois was first and foremost a loving mother and grandmother. It was the ultimate passion of her lifetime. You always knew she was in it with you. She gave warm refuge to all children, at home, in the neighborhood and as a teacher's aide at Congers Elementary. Her legacy of family and caring for others will live on in so many. Her cheerful personality, along with her easy laugh, were contagious to everyone she met. Lois enjoyed traveling with her family, going on long road trips to see the many beautiful places in America. Lois' family is forever grateful to her caregiver and friend Carole, whose kindness, care and sense of fun helped make Lois' last months such happy ones. At Lois' request no service will be held.
