We met Deanie and Morris through Maynard and Edna many moons ago when we were young travellers from NZ in the big US of A and then latterly Theresa. We feel blessed to have had them in our lives; we chatted every couple of weeks and every time Deanie would say 'when are you coming back to see us'. Three years back we were in Alaska and then to Nova Scotia and we knew we needed to detour to see them as we would have always regretted if we had not seen them in person one more time. They always opened their home to us, made us so welcome and spoilt us with home cooked meals and a cocktail. We should have been cooking for them, but no they wanted to and were so organised. It is hard to believe that wonderful Deanie has passed and we were lucky on the last two phone calls the Beverley gave Deanie the phone and we had a chat. We love you to bits and are so thankful we met you and continued to make contact. Morris feel for you so much that your best mate has gone, but know you will have the strength you have developed together as a couple and the wonderful times you have had over so many years to guide you through the next days and months. God bless and love to you Morris and your family as you say your final goodbye to our wonderful Deanie.

Arldine was a woman who defied her age. We often shared our concerns about the NY Mets, and, as late as early November, we chatted about current affairs. She was always interested in the status of my adult kids...a real good neighbor. Morris, you found a real gem. I hope you’ll embrace your memories for the lady in your life.
