Obituary of Thomas J. Mirabito

Thomas James Mirabito SIDNEY-- Thomas James Mirabito found peace on May 24, 2021. Born on July 7th, 1984, Tom was the beloved son of John and Cheryl Mirabito. Tom was a passionate, loving and enthusiastic soul. Tom is survived by his parents, John and Cheryl Mirabito; siblings: Lisa (Justin) Fisher, Christine(Tony) Basile, Theresa (Kyle) Palmer and James Mirabito; his nephews, John, Monroe and Anthony; his nieces, Haylee and Josephina, along with all his loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom grew up in Sidney, NY and graduated from Sidney Senior High School after an outstanding academic and athletic career. From there life took him in all directions. A lover of life, Tom never missed an opportunity to get on a bus, plane or car and go wherever the wind might take him. He visited almost the entire continental United States and lived on both East and West Coasts and in the southern United States, making friends and acquaintances wherever he went. He wasn't good at sitting still, so he didn't, but anyone who was lucky enough to meet Tom knew what passion, enthusiasm and laughter were about. Tom was a devoted uncle, and his happiest times were in the company of his nieces and nephews. No one played in forts, swam in pools, played in the snow or just outside better than Uncle Tommy. His life and love will live on through his devoted family and friends, who will miss him the rest of their lives, until they meet again. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty St. Sidney, NY 13838. Burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery will follow.
