Marilyn S. Shields GREENE—On Saturday, June 26, 2021, Marilyn S. Shields passed away peacefully in her home. She was born March 31, 1946 to Howard and Darleen Stilson. She ran the Law Office of William Denman as a paralegal for over 30 years. She was a pillar of the Bainbridge community. Marilyn was a voracious reader of books; she read all of Danielle Steele's books, and was on the call list at the local libraries. She loved the daily crossword puzzles in the newspaper, and always used a red pen. She was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and also enjoyed college basketball. She loved going to Turning Stone with her husband, hoping to win, but usually donating. They shared the love of deer season together for many years. She was predeceased by her oldest brother, Monte, infant son Hud, the love of her life William Shields, and her son, Chad J. Shields who was the light of her life. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Jennifer Barse and son-in-law, Dennis; daughter-in-law, Lisa Shields; grandchildren: Shauna, Shelby, Scott, Toby, Jacob, Holly and Brendan; great grandchildren Gunner, Lyncoln, Leo and Miguel; big brother Rocky Stilson, favorite sister Beverly Meyer and brother-in-law, Dan; brothers, Gary (Patricia) Stilson, Randy (Diann), beloved nieces, nephews, greats and cousins, and many long-time special friends. A celebration of life will be on Sunday, July 11th at 1:30pm at her home, 1374 State Highway 206, Greene. All are welcome. Share condolences with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
