Obituary of Daniel W. Emerson

"Not all people feel the need for wilderness, but I do." Clarence Petty Daniel W. Emerson, 52 of Oneonta passed away September 16, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born February 16, 1969, son of the late Charles and Jane (Wickes) Emerson in Sidney. Dan attended elementary school in Cambridge, NY and graduated from Franklin High School with the Class of 1987. He studied horticulture at Sullivan Community College and was employed by Custom Electronics in Oneonta. Dan will be greatly missed and his endless stories and laughter will always remain close to our hearts. He is survived by Sons, Dylan and Brodie Emerson Partner, Alanna Thompson Brother, Del (Michele) Emerson Sisters, Donna (Randy) Scharfe and Doreen (Jim) Wakeman He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also predeceased by a sister Debbie Wilson Services for Dan will be private and at the convenience of the family.
