Obituary of Frederick Lynn Stafford

Frederick Lynn Stafford, 73, of Unadilla, NY, passed peacefully on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY. Son of Clyde and Loretta Stafford of Mt. Upton, NY, he is survived by his adoring children, Derek Stafford, Unadilla, NY, and Laura Wormuth, Preston, Md, and two grandchildren, Alexander and Mikael Wormuth. Frederick, also known as Fred, Freddie, Freddy Boy, sometimes Derf, but most affectionately as Dad, was predeceased by his older brother Harold Stafford, and survived by his eldest brother and sister-in-law George and Polly Stafford, Mt. Upton, NY, and nephews Francis and Dennis Riddell. Fred was born in Deposit, NY, proudly served the Marines during Vietnam, and was loved by many. His stories and jokes brought joy and laughter to everyone he touched. His affinity for antique cars, beautiful women, flea markets, and long walks on the beach will be fondly remembered, and his ability to find beauty and adventure in life everyday will be passed on. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021 at C.H. Landers Funeral Home in Sidney, NY.
