Keith Axtell, 79, of Masonville passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, NY. He was born September 26, 1942, in Deposit, NY, the son of Ivan John Jr. and Florence Axtell. In 1962, he married Cheryl Loker. A dairy farmer for much of his life, he later logged with his dad and surviving brother, Stuart Axtell (Terry), at Axtell & Bradtke Lumber. Keith loved to hunt and proved he still had the touch last deer season when he took his deer on the first shot with his new gun. He enjoyed frequent gator riding around the family farm to see the wildlife. He carried around photos from his trail cams and would love to share with friends and family. He is predeceased by his parents and wife, Cheryl Axtell. Surviving is daughter Kimberly McKown (Jeffrey) of Masonville, NY; son Keith Axtell, Jr. (Laurie) of Savannah, GA; daughter Amy Reese (Richard) of Binghamton, NY; daughter Joy Foley (Jeremiah) of Dayton, OH; and daughter Patti Cairns (Jerry) of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Andrew (Erin), Matthew (Maria), Steven (Megan), Ashley, Morgan, Alisha, Jenny (Vince), Brianna, Mikayla, Jake, Katy; and great grandchildren, Olivia, Sophia, Ethan, Wyatt, Makenna, Mason and Allison. Visitation is Friday, April 29 from 5-7 pm at the C H Landers Funeral Home, 21 Main St, Sidney. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later time.
