Obituary of Nick Lee Johnson

Nick Johnson went to a better place after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease on May 3, 2022. He was predeceased by his father, Clifford Johnson, is mother, Roberta Harpur Johnson and his brother, Gary Harpur Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife, Muriel DeFilippo Johnson, daughters, Jennifer Johnson and Amy Johnson Spooner, son-in-law, Donald Spooner, two twin granddaughters, Ashley and Amanda Spooner. Nick was the great, great, great grandson of Robert Harpur, the founder of Harpursville and Harpur College nee Binghamton University. Nick was a long-time employee of Keith Clark, now Acco Brands in Sidney. He was a graduate of Broome Community college and NY State University at Oneonta. We will hold a graveside service at Glenwood Cemetery in Afton at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 5, 2022 and a celebration of life immediately following at Main Street Social. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the wonderful and caring staff at Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Glenwood Cemetery.
