Obituary of Rita T. Lieb

Rita T. Lieb Bainbridge, NY Rita T. Lieb, 90, of Bainbridge passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City. Rita was born on July 15, 1920, daughter of the late Warren G. and Rosemary (Stolz) Thomas in Carrolltown, PA. Rita was married to David J. Lieb in July of 1945; he predeceased her in 1992. She was fiercely independent, and cared for herself until the last. She loved her family and enjoyed reading, crocheting and knitting. Rita was a stay-at-home Mom for many years, but when the opportunity presented itself, she took a position with the Bainbridge-Guilford Central School system as a classroom aid, and then as a Library Aid in the High School. She was a past active member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Bainbridge. She is survived by: Her three sons and their wives: David J. (Jr.) and Joan; Thomas C. and Christine; and Christopher C. and Kelly. Three grandchildren: Jinnie and Magnus Erhardt, Kelsey A. Lieb and Dustin T. Lieb She also left behind her faithful cat, Misty One sister, Naomi (Robert) McMullen and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Rita was predeceased by her son, William in 1996. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at St. John's R.C. Church, Bainbridge. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge. Memorial contributions in Rita's name may be made to the Delaware Valley Humane Society, 101 E.
