Ronald M. Backus, 73, of Sidney Center, passed away on December 4, 2022 in Chestnut Parking Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Oneonta. Ron was born on March 2, 1949 in Walton, NY, son of the late Thomas and Beatrice (Crosby) Backus.
He served his country in the US Army from 1969 to 1971. Ron was a self-employed dairy farmer, operating his own farm in Sidney Center.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Robert Buchanan, as well as several nieces and nephews and close friends, Mark and Harry.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters and a brother.
