Brian Croteau, 40, passed away on January 2nd, 2023 unexpectedly in Endicott, NY. He was born on August 4, 1982 in Stonybrook, NY. He was the son of Patricia Croteau and the late Joseph Croteau from Unadilla, NY.
As a child, Brian was actively involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and the Order of the Arrow. He was an avid baseball fan from the age of 4 years old, always cheering for his beloved NY Mets and playing little league. Brian loved to cook and worked the grill at his father's annual barbecues. He enjoyed traveling as often as possible, especially to Walt Disney World and was also an avid video gamer.
Brian enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with his godson, Nico. He earned his Associate Degree in May 2017 & his Bachelor of Science in Social Science in June 2019.
Brian was employed at SUNY Broome as a Technical Assistant /ARO, where he worked in assisting students with accommodation needs. He was also actively involved with the SUNY Broome ASL club and their many events, especially the annual SUNY Broome Toys for Tots Christmas event.
Brian is survived by his mom, Pat, his brother and wife, Tom & Ashley Croteau from Moorestown, NJ, his sister and husband, Jennifer & Erick Rodriguez from Brooklyn, NY, and his brother, Andrew Croteau from Oneonta, NY, his uncle and aunt, James & Ann Marie Croteau & uncle John Croteau all from Unadilla, NY. He also leaves behind his girlfriend, Laura Ricciuti, his nieces and nephews, Nico Rodriguez; Renae, Dylan, and Zachary Croteau; and Aidan, Declan, and Alysse Miller; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brian left this world too soon but left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Calling hours will be on Friday, January 13th, 2023 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street, Sidney, NY from 12-2:00pm and 5:00-7:00pm with a short service to follow at 7:00pm. Burial will be in Rogers Hollow Cemetery at a later date. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.landersfh.com.
