Obituary of Debora Ostrander

Debora Ann Schoelier Ostrander, 57, of Sidney passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2023 at Chestnut Park Rehab and Nursing Center in Oneonta. Debora was born May 7, 1965 in New Jersey to William and Ann (DeVries) Schoelier. As a young lady, Debora was employed by the Sidney Hospital working in the food service department. This is where she met many new friends, and John. Several years later, John and Debora were married. Soon Debbie's mind started thinking that being a mom would be better. They would have two daughters, Abigail Miranda and Amanda Ruth. Her girls meant the world to Debbie. Being able to help them with school or church projects was important to her. She was always willing to help out others. Through many hard times, she had her faith to keep her steady and focused on what was important to her. Debora is survived by her husband John; daughters Abigail Miranda and Amanda Ruth; mother, Ann, 3 brothers; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on May 12, 2023 at Gateway Alliance Church, 6 Circle Drive, Sidney. Share condolences and memories online at www.landersfh.com.
