Obituary of Carol Ann Wessels

Carol Ann (Weaver) Wessels, 79, of Unadilla, NY, passed away suddenly on October 10, 2023. Carol was born in Upper Darby, PA on May 4, 1944 to parents Arthur F. and Mildred D. (Bevil) Weaver. She was the wife of Neso A. Wessels for 40 years and the mother of 3 children: Gregg Pinney (wife Lisa), Andrea (Pinney) Bentley and Spencer Pinney (wife Deryle). Carol has 6 wonderful grandchildren that were the love of her life: Carrie Anne Bentley, Gregg Pinney Jr. (wife Kim), Bethenie (Pinney) Hrehor (husband Stephen), Miah (Bentley) Bartlett (husband Joseph), Benjamin Pinney and Chloe Pinney. She was great-grandmother of 8: Samuel and Gideon Bentley, Lilly and Hudson Pinney, River Bartlett, and Theodore, Eleanore and Gwenivere Hrehor. Carol has 10 surviving siblings: David, Steven, Daniel, James, Michael, Jonathan, Martha, Esther, Melodie and Rachel as well as many nieces and nephews. Carol was thankful to her Lord and Savior who blessed her with these that he had given her and the life in Christ she walked. Carol was very active within her church family, Gateway Alliance Church in Sidney, and in her community, serving with the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club, and most notably being co-owner with her husband Neso of Star Well Drilling, Inc. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Gateway Alliance Church, 6 Circle Dr. Sidney, NY 13838. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
