Obituary of Noel St. John

Noel Elliott St. John, 45, a lifelong resident of Sidney passed to the eternal on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Albany Medical Center. Noel was born at The Hospital in Sidney, to Merritt Lloyd St. John and Patti Sue (Wilson) St. John on Saturday, April 22, 1978. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1996 and went on to attend SUNY Morrisville. Noel endured many challenges in his life, overcoming every obstacle. He was an avid collector of watches, guitars, and friends. Music touched Noel’s soul, while his contagious laughter and joy touched all of ours. To know Noel was to know a true friend. An incredibly strong fighter, he carried a light inside of him that would warm the hearts of others for over four decades. His favorite pastimes were helping his grandmother with her iPad and expanding his social media network. Noel was predeceased by his Paternal Grandparents, Larry and Clara St. John; his Uncle, Larry St. John; and his Maternal Great Grandmother, Mildred Barnes-Bennett. Noel is survived by his loving parents, Patti and Merritt St. John of Sidney; Brother, Ryan St. John, Harrisburg, PA; Nieces he adored, Paige Elizabeth St. John and Sophia Noel St. John, Harrisburg, PA; Maternal Grandparents, Edwin and Delores Wilson, Sidney; Aunts and Uncles: Tom and Carolyn Wilson, Yorktown, VA; Linette and Fred Potter, Albany; Linda and Ted Jackson, Albany; Donna St. John, Sidney. As well as many loving cousins and good friends (You all know who you are.) A very special thank you to Nicole Reagan, for her special RT services, knowledge and deep love for her cousin, Noel.
