Obituary of Henry Hetzel

Henry Hetzel, 65, passed away on January 31, 2024 after battling many health issues. He was born on February 10, 1958 in the Bronx to the late Arthur and Elizabeth Hetzel. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Colleen Hetzel; daughters, Tiffany Hetzel (Trevor Nelson) and Marissa Hetzel; grandson, Tristan Nelson (grandpa's Little Man who he adored); his sisters: Cookie Hetzel, Joyce Hetzel, Rosie Burke, Eileen Luebke, and Joanne Douglas; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Artie Hetzel, Vinnie Hetzel, and Richie Hetzel; and sisters, Shirley Dilberg and Janet Buzzel. He loved his family and friends fiercely. He worked at Acco for over 30 years where he met his beloved wife and many of his good friends. With a permanent role as the life of the party, he was always up for a good time. His sense of humor was unparalleled, and he could make anyone laugh. He was truly one of a kind and when you met him, you would never forget him. He was so loved and will be forever missed. Henry did not wish to have calling hours or a funeral service, as he wanted to be remembered for the outgoing, happy comedian that he was. Throughout his medical treatments, he needed countless blood transfusions. To honor his memory, a team has been created on the American Red Cross Blood App called "In Memory Of Henry Hetzel."
