Obituary of Elaine M. Krum

Elaine M. Krum of Afton, went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2024. She was born September 3, 1942 in Margaretville to the late Kenneth and Elsa Sanford. Elaine was employed by Eastern Airlines in Reservations, upon leaving Eastern, she went to work for a travel agency in Cobleskill, NY. After marrying Paul, they lived in Lynnbrook, NY, then moved to Delhi, where they lived for two years then moved to Afton, NY, where she spent 30+ years as a lifeguard at the Afton Central School. She was also involved in a home business called Lasting Impressions Embroidery Service. Elaine loved quilting, sewing, and music. She played the fiddle with the Del-Se-Nango Fiddlers and had the privilege to play at WWVA in Wheeling, WV and at Dollywood. Elaine was involved with the Afton Seniors, the Harpursville Seniors, the Sunday Peacemakers, and several quilt guilds. Elaine liked to keep herself busy, however, she was the most passionate about quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elaine is survived by her husband Paul, her daughters Teresa (Aaron) Simpson, Denise (Matthew) Frost, her grandchildren, Nelson (Tiffany) Ruling, Tiffani Ruling, Chad Hotaling, Kevin (BreAnna) Hotaling, Erica (Vincent) Frost, and great-grandchildren, Nikia, Zander, Natalie, Maverick, Amelia, and Waylon. She is also survived by one brother, Dennis. Elaine was also predeceased by brothers, Lindy and Doug, and her sister, Ruth.
