Obituary of Lillian A. Price

Please share a memory of Lillian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Loving wife and mother, Lillian A. (Mosher) Price peacefully slipped away to be with her Lord Jesus on March 5th after a short battle with pneumonia and other ailments. Lillian was 83, and was surrounded by many loving family members in her last week on earth. Lillian was born at home to John and Amber Mosher on November 30, 1940, in Stony Creek, NY. She attended a nearby one-room schoolhouse, then later graduated from Hadley Luzerne High School. From a young age, she cared for people and animals around her. This led her to attend the Mary McClellan School of Practical Nursing in Cambridge, NY, where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. In 1964, she met and married Richard Price, with whom she shared almost 60 years of her life. Their union gave life to four children, who in turn gave her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; all brightened her life and brought great joy to her days. Lillian was known to faithfully pray for each and every one of them. For the last 20 years, Lillian has attended Fellowship Baptist Lighthouse Church in Unadilla, NY, where she was a committed member. She lived with her husband at Sidney Senior Village, where she was also active in the Residents' Association and served there in many capacities over the years. At an early age, Lillian gave her life to Jesus Christ. She was active at Knowlhurst Baptist Church in Stony Creek, where she married Richard. Later, she served alongside her husband in ministry at a missionary church in Arizona and at several churches across New York State. Over the years, she wholeheartedly served Christ and His church in a multitude of ways: pastor's wife, missionary, Sunday School teacher, Christian School teacher, and choir member, among other things. She also carried on her own personal ministry by coordinating Source of Light correspondence courses for up to 100 people, some of whom included prison inmates who were seeking to know Christ and the Bible for themselves. Lillian found joy in many things: singing well-loved hymns with family and friends; playing games with anyone willing to compete with her; giving gold stars to her students; personalizing birthday cards with colored pencils and stickers. Most of all, her joy in life came from sharing the Gospel–the Good News of Jesus Christ–with others. She wanted all her family and friends to join her in Heaven some day. Although she has now joined many family members and long-time friends in Heaven, Lillian leaves behind many others, including the love of her life, Richard Price. Her children include Susanne & Bob Wells, Cynthia Geertson, Rebecca & Craig Hall, and Stephen & Lhynn Price. Her 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren will hold her memory dear. She is also survived by her brother, John R. Mosher, Jr. Romans 14:8 "For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's." All family and friends of Lillian are welcome to join in celebrating her life. Please contact family members for details on the multiple gatherings and services which will be held in her honor.
