Obituary of Arlene Mae Shaw

On May 15, 2024, Arlene Mae Shaw passed away peacefully at the age of 86. Arlene is survived by: her son, Mark Shaw, Sr. (Afton); daughters, Terri Shaw (Afton) and Sue and Randy Twiss (Florida); and four siblings, Albert (Ohio), Anna (Florida), Rosemary (Florida), and Margery (New York). Arlene had many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Randy Shaw and Roger Shaw; parents, Nevan and Mary Schultes, and brothers, Bob, Donnie and Butch. Arlene was born on June 24, 1937 in Bainbridge, NY. She enjoyed driving bus and held positions at a charter bus company and several school districts. She retired from transportation from the Bainbridge School District in 2010. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she was their "GiGi". She took pleasure in crocheting, gardening, and doing word searches, as well as journaling. She was an avid listener on her CB Radio and was well known for her handle "Moon Beam". Arlene will be laid to rest at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in Glenwood Cemetery, Afton.
