Obituary of Charles Robert Gage
Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles Robert (Chuck) Gage, 92, of Mt. Upton, NY, a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away on September 10, 2024 after a long illness.
Chuck (Daddy) was born in Mt. Upton, NY in 1932 to Louis and Gertrude Gage. In 1954 he married the love of his life, Marianne Gage (Tibball). They recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. He was a local dairy farmer until retirement in 1996 and was involved with the local farm co-op. After retirement, he worked part time for the Sidney Head Start program until he fully retired.
Chuck (Daddy) instilled many moral and ethical beliefs in his family that are ingrained in each one of us. Hard work, good character, and helping those family, friends, and neighbors who needed it. Many a story can be told of the local farmers needing assistance and he was there and vice versa. The same stories can be said of his family. He enjoyed cutting, splitting, and stacking the firewood to prepare for winter. He was never one to sit still when there was something that needed to be done.
Chuck is survived by his wife Marianne, his sisters Sue Heath and Judy Hinman, his children Tom Gage and his wife Gretchen, Richard Gage and his wife Shelly, Theresa Doyle and her husband Joseph, Chuck Gage and his wife Karen, Todd Gage and his wife Dina, and foster son John Beauparlant and his wife Chrissy, grandchildren Elizabeth Scholl and her husband Nicholas, Samantha McWeeney, Jessica Gage, Joseph Doyle Jr. and his partner Sarah Spencer, Joshua Doyle and his wife Olivia, Tasha Doyle, Amanda Relf and her husband Mike, Chuck Gage and his wife Chritine, Kori and Erica Gage, Ashley, Amanda, and Kaylee Beauparlant. Great grandchildren Emily and Alberta Scholl, Gavin and Zack McWeeney, Logan Doyle, Gabriel and Ivy Huntley, Carrie and Aubrey Doyle, Arilyn and Ronin Relf, Teagan Thompson, Jaxson Beauparlant, Lucas, Lincoln and Kole Lynch. He is predeceased by his parents Louis and Gertude Gage and bother Richard (Dick) Gage.
