Obituary of Kelley Bennett

Kelley Bennett, a resident of Sidney, New York, age 51 passed away peacefully on September 18th, 2024. Kelley was born on September 24, 1972 and raised on S 2nd St. in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY. An alumna of John Bowne High School, Kelley was loved by many friends growing up. She had strong ties to her community. Kelley was well known and well liked by those who knew her. Kelley moved upstate to be closer to a mother, sister and daughter and left her life and friends behind in New York City in 2005. Kelley has gone to join her mother and father, Joan and Andrew Bennett in heaven. She leaves behind her daughter, Rachael; her grandson, Remmy; her brother, David; her sister, Lori and her brother-in-law, John. Kelley truly had a heart of gold and was quick to help those in need and go above and beyond for neighbors, friends and even strangers. Those who knew her enjoyed her incredible sense of humor and vibrant personality. Kelley liked to build. Create and fix. She was a carpenter at heart like her father and enjoyed new opportunities to learn new things and master new tools. Many in Sidney knew her and experienced her giving and compassionate nature. She will be deeply missed by many. Her family misses her terribly. We longed to be united again. She bravely went ahead of us. Please keep our family in your prayers. And to anyone reading this, do whatever you must to clear your consciences and resolve issues between you and your loved ones so to not miss any opportunities to spend time with those you love before it's no longer possible. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla.
