Obituary of Shane Clark Martin

Shane Clark Martin, age 61, born in Sidney, New York, passed away peacefully at his home in Afton, surrounded by love, on October 22nd. Shane was born to Lynn and Richard (Dick) Martin and grew up in Bainbridge, where he graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1981. His love for the simple, beautiful things in life was unmatched—he could spot a John Deere tractor from a mile away and had a keen eye for antiques. If it was old and had a story, Shane had to have it. With his infectious laugh and endless supply of stories, Shane had a wonderful way of bringing joy to everyone he met. A loving husband, father, and son, Shane is survived by his devoted wife, Jennifer Martin; his son, Zeb Martin; daughter, Ayla Martin; his beloved mother, Lynn Martin, and sister Marlene Martin. He is predeceased by his father, Dick Martin, with whom he shared a deep bond. Shane's legacy of humor, warmth, and storytelling will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on October 26th, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at C.H. Landers Funeral Home in Sidney, NY with a memorial service beginning at 12:30pm. Family and friends are invited to come and celebrate Shane's life, sharing in the memories and stories that made him so cherished.
