Please share a memory of Donald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Donald Oliveira, 66 of bainbridge passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2025. Don was born July 24, 1958 in Palm Springs, Ca. He spent most of his childhood with his grandparents on their farm in Fall View, Ma. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 43 years AnnNancy who affectionately called him “Ollie”. After marrying Nancy, they moved to Long Beach, Ca where he proudly served his country with the United States Marines Corps. Upon his honorable discharge in 1986, Don and Nancy ultimately settled in Bainbridge where they raised their four children. Don and Nancys four children are Nicole, Damian, Samantha (Ryan), and Jessica (Sean). Donny as called by one of his grandsons was the true definition of a family man who always instilled that no matter what family always comes first. Along with his wife and children Don was also survived by the true loves of his life, his six grandchildren. Pappy as called by Pierce (Weeble), Reagan (Miss Reagan), Louis (King Louie), Logan (Lougie), Peyton (Princess P), and Kinsley ( Kinny) had him wrapped around their fingers without question…. And they all knew it! Don is also survived by his best friend and cousin Bruce Cunha, and his “second wife” Christine Roberts. Prior to his retirement, Don was an Air Traffic Controller with the FAA. Once “finally” retired Don spent many days supporting his grandchildren in their many adventures just as he did with his children. Pappy could always be seen and heard at any baseball game, camping trip, fishing adventure , dance recital, and snowball fight. “I’m not loud I’m Portuguese” Don was a jack of many trades and took pride in showing his children and grandkids how to do his many talents. These talents helped him complete one of his greatest accomplishments, restoring his beloved Queen Ann Victorian house. Lastly Don’s most infamous saying was always “ get your big girl/boy panties on, quit bitching and get the shit done!” Per Donald’s request no funeral services will be held and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. One last and final thing from his children is “surfs up!” Arrangements are under the direction of CH Landers Funeral Chapel Sidney
