Obituary of Erin M. Conrade

Erin Michele (Gregory) Conrade, 44, of Sidney, passed away January 13th, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family after battling cancer. She is now at peace. Erin was born August 18th, 1980, in Sidney, NY to Allen H. and Susan (Clark) Gregory. Erin met Randy L. Conrade, and they started dating in March of 2004. She married Randy, her best friend and soulmate May 23rd, 2015. They shared over twenty years together. Erin graduated from Sidney Central School in 1998. Upon graduating high school, Erin entered into the workforce. She worked at Mallinckrodt, Sidney McDonalds, and most recently Acco Brands where she made several friends along the way. Erin will be remembered for her selflessness in that she always put the needs of others ahead of her own, her love and dedication to her family. Erin's time, energy and effort centered around her children. Her family was her everything. She loved the beach, sunsets, pepperoni knots, day trip adventures to the zoo, aquarium, Animal Adventure, apple picking, the park, watching Grey's Anatomy, going to the movies, Snapchat filters and most of all shopping. Erin was predeceased by her great-grandmothers, Anna Breeze and Freda Townsend; and grandfather and grandmother, Allen W. and Leatrice Gregory. She is survived by her husband Randy L. Conrade of Sidney; sons Christopher M. Kenny of Unadilla, and Owen G. Conrade of Sidney; her parents Allen H. and Susan Gregory of Unadilla; her sister and brother-in-law Heather (Gregory) Thomas and Jim Thomas of Bloomville; niece and nephew (Caila and Cole Thomas) of Bloomville; grandmother, Frances Stevens of Florida; stepdaughters Maranda Conrade of Sidney and Savana Conrade of Syracuse; step-grandchildren Trinity Doherty and Trenton Miner of Sidney. She is also survived by three brothers-in-law (Gary, Wayne, and Marc Conrade), and many friends and relatives. At the request of the family there will be no funeral service. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours from 2-4 pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street in Sidney Sunday, January 26, 2025, followed by a time of sharing and celebration of Erin's life at the Sidney Fire Hall, 74 River Street in Sidney. A Private burial at Prospect Hill Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank Helios Care, 297 River Street Service Road, Oneonta, NY 13820, the nurses and staff at Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse, NY and Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY for their care of Erin. HealthCare workers speak volumes when they show concern and compassion, and this is what Erin received while spending nearly 125 days in various hospitals.
