Thank you Fay for calling my brother Tom to let us know of Jim's passing.
How does one sum up a life time of great memories. Jim and Flo were our nextdoor neighbors for over 55 years.
Memories of our time together could go on forever. The camping trips to Black Lake,Jim always cooked breakfast, rides on Jim's boat at Cooperstown Lake, dinner at Little Venice in Binghamton, sharing picnics in the back yard, relaxing at our fireplace in the evenings, trips Flo and Jim, Mother and Dad took to NYC to see broadway plays. The list goes on.
Awsome neighbors, but much more than that, great friends and good people. I believe that Dr. Ted Elliott is the last resident of Prospect Drive to survive that wonderful era.
Flo and Jim always got a kick out of all the activites and antic's the kids on the street were involved in.....they were like second parents to us.
Jim was a no "fuss no muss" guy! He was so helpful to my dad as he was over six feet and dad was barely five seven....and riddled with arthritis...Jim would bing his strong study self over and help dad with many projects!
Sending the family my deepest sympathy, but remembering a great guy.
Love and Blessing,
Carol (Loller) Michalak Swenson
