Obituary of Letha Jane Clark

Letha Jane Clark Bainbridge, NY Letha Jane Clark, 62, of Bainbridge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her home. Letha, also known as Jane by her friends, was born on June 28, 1949, daughter of the late Elwood and Florence (Furgeson) Seward in Walton. She went to Morrisville College, Norwich Extension for office management. Letha worked as a supervisor for Mead in Sidney for 19 years. On September 12, 1998, she was married to Walter A. Clark in Mt. Upton. Jane was an exceptional baker. She enjoyed scrapbooking, knitting and crocheting and recently became interested in family genealogy. Jane relished being out in nature: she liked to fish, watch the hummingbirds, and had a love for animals, especially dogs and horses. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She is survived by: Husband, Walter A. Clark of Bainbridge Children: Helen (Gregory) Espinosa of Tulsa, OK, Francine (Randy) Haynes of Bainbridge, Heath Hughs of Guilford, William Hughs of North Carolina, Janie (Doug) Hunt of South New Berlin, Lisa (Michael) Buel of Delhi and Amy (David) Robinson of Gilbertsville. 24 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren Sister, Arlene Seward of Arizona And several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Lynn Cerverizzo. In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her brother Vincent, and her step-son, Francis Hughs, Jr. Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 1:00-3:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Mt. Upton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice & Palliative Care of Chenango County, 21 Hayes Street Norwich, NY 13815.
