Obituary of Patrick A. Lynch

Patrick A. Lynch Sidney, NY Patrick A. Lynch, 55, of Sidney, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011. He was born on March 2, 1956 son of the late Howard and Catherine Lynch. Pat graduated from Sidney High School in 1974 and then completed his physical education degrees at SUNY Cortland. He taught in the NYS prison system and in other institutions in New York. Most recently, Pat was a physical education teacher and coach for Afton Central School. Pat loved influencing young people's lives with his love for teaching. Pat is survived by the love of his life and soul mate Monica; her children Terry, Tracy, Melissa and Bryan, and Pat's children. He is also survived by five brothers: Daniel, Peter, Michael, Vincent and Joseph and their families. One of the biggest joys of Pat's life were his dogs, Abby and Angel. Patrick was predeceased by his mother and father, and two brothers, Timothy and Matthew. A memorial mass will be held Friday, September 30, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 15 Liberty St. Sidney at 11:00 AM with Fr. Gordon Polenz officiating. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Valley Humane Society 101 East Main St. Sidney. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
