Obituary of Kathryn C. Ostrander

Kathryn C. Ostrander Sidney, NY Kathryn C. Ostrander 82 of Sidney passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Otsego Manor in Cooperstown. She was born May 18, 1929 in Unadilla, NY. Katy married Milford L. Ostrander on November 27, 1949 in Unadilla. He predeceased her on February 8, 2002. For over 20 years Katy worked as a beautician, servicing the local adult and nursing homes. She was a long time member of the First Congregational Church in Sidney and the Sidney Boat Club. For many years Katy and Mitt enjoyed local square dances, she also loved bird watching and spending time in her garden. Kathryn is survived by: 2 Sons and a daughter-in-law - George Ostrander, West Edmeston John and Debbie Ostrander, Sidney Daughter - Margaret Ostrander - Oneonta Grandchildren - Mackenzie Jump her husband Denver, Sidney Todd De Coker - Clinton, Utah Abigail and Amanda Ostrander, Sidney Great Grandchildren - Nicholas, Adrienne, Dustin, Brylee, Wyatt, Brooklyn and Boston Sister - Clare Mae Mohrien, Unadilla Brother - Raymond Curtis, Sidney Many nieces, nephew and cousins She is also predeceased by her parents. Friends may call Monday, December 12, 2011 from 5-7 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main Sidney. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Sidney.
