Beatrice M. Kane Unadilla, NY Beatrice M. Kane, 69, of Unadilla, passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2012 at her home. She was born May 27, 1942, daughter of the late Francis J. and Arlene Mary (Wyman) Ward in Walton. Bea married James D. Kane on February 20, 1966 in Unadilla. He predeceased her on September 16, 2001. Bea owned and operated Busy Bea's in Unadilla for many years. Bea loved to dance and could often be found at the Tri-Town Singles Club dances. She is survived by: Sister and Brother-in-law - Leah and Wayne Archer of Unadilla Sister - Jennifer Ward of North Carolina Brothers: Richard Ward of Sidney, Michael Ward of North Carolina, Aaron Ward of North Carolina and William Egnor of New York. As well as several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Howard Ward, Sr. and Luke Egnor, and her sister, Edna Helms. Friends may call from 12noon-2:00pm on Monday, January 23, 2012 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral chapel with Rev. Fred Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Unadilla Emergency Squad Unadilla, NY 13849.
