Obituary of David Pysnik

David Pysnik Sidney, NY Beloved husband, father, grandfather and son, David Pysnik, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Monday March 12, 2012. He dedicated 37 years to teaching chemistry at Sidney High School, impacting generations of students. He has received multiple national recognitions for teaching and research, and has won numerous community service awards. He was a cherished member of the community. His contagious laugh, loving smile and unconditional kindness will be greatly missed. Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Gaby; mother, Madeline Pysnik; children: Beth and Pete Kramer, Eric and Hilary Pysnik, Stephen Pysnik, Mary Pysnik and Annie Pysnik; and grandchildren: Christian, Andrew and Aiden. Friends are invited to call from 5:00-8:00pm on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street Sidney, NY 13838. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 16th at Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty Street Sidney, with Monsignor James Cox as celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Sidney Dollars for Scholars, 42 Union Street Sidney, NY 13838.
