Obituary of Christine Renee Harris

Christine R. Harris 46 of Masonville passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012. She was born February 21, 1966 to Reginald and Carol (Tibball) Peck. On August 15, 1987 she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life Steven Harris. She was a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She brightened the lives of everyone she met with her smile, sense of humor, and quick wit. Her compassionate nature compelled her to put others before herself. Christine's favorite season was Fall, but loved Winter when she could ride her snowmobile. She expressed her love of nature through long walks and gardening with her husband. "Girls day" with her daughter and sister was also a favorite past-time. She was a 1984 graduate of Sidney High School, and later a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill. She was currently employed at MeadWestvaco with over 25 years, where she gained numerous friends. She is survived by her husband Steven Harris, daughter Tammie Harris, parents Reginald and Carol Peck, sister Wendy Ferrara and brother in-law Michael Ferrara, nephew Tommy Harris, brother in-law Thomas Harris and his partner Karen and daughter Shyann, parents in-law George and Shirley Harris, loving animals Hunter, Hank, and Nick, and a vast network of friends and family. Christine was loved and will be missed by so many. Per Christine's wishes, services will be private and are to be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine's memory can be made to the amazing volunteers at the Masonville Emergency Squad, and to the Delaware Valley Humane Society in honor of Christine's deep love for animals. Christine's family wishes to thank our family and friends for their kindness, caring, and support during her illness. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel Sidney.
