Theodore Albert Gohl 76 of Afton passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at James G. Johnson Memorial Nursing Home in Binghamton.
He was born November 16, 1935 son of the late Warren and Alberta (Hodge) Gohl in Whitney Point. Ted was employed by IBM and retired to pursue his love of farming.
Ted married Mary (Yaeger); together they ran the farm and raised a family. He was a past member of the Chenango County Grange and the Town of Afton Planning Board and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Afton.
He is survived by 4 daughters and Sons-in-law - Cindy and Gregory Bales, Afton
Carol and Brian Fisher, Afton
Mary Ellen Warrick, Afton
Colleen and Roger Ashworth, Bainbridge

The family wishes to thank the James G. Johnson Memorial Nursing Home staff of the Star and Sun Units for the wonderful care they provided to Ted.
Friends may call Saturday. March 24, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church of Afton. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Christopher Prezorski officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Afton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Afton 30 Caswell St. Afton, NY 13730 or the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org.
