After she retired she spent time traveling with her sister Lil throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
In 1999 Mom moved to Sidney, N.Y. Mom was active in the Ladies Rosary Society at Sacred Heart Church and made many friends there. In December of 2011 Mom moved to The Plains in Oneonta NY and enjoyed her time there. She was able to get involved in various activities and keep her independence.
Eleanor's family would like to thank the staff at The Plains for all they did to make Mom feel welcome, safe and comfortable. She was only there for a few months but always spoke highly of the staff and how they "spoiled" her.
