Obituary of Alice M. Ohl

Alice M. Ohl Bainbridge, NY Alice M. Ohl, 73, of Bainbridge, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City. Alice was born on August 14, 1938, the oldest child of Ernest and Daisy (Lee) Miele in Williamsport, PA. On March 17, 1956, Alice was married to William Ohl in Muncy, PA. Alice worked as the Guidance Office Secretary at Bainbridge High School for over 30 years. She was a devoted member of the East Guilford Presbyterian Church, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school for all of her 40+ year membership. Alice loved to read and greatly enjoyed traveling the country with her husband, Bill. She also had a deep love for babies and young children, and fostered more than 30 infants over the years. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Alice is survived by: Loving husband of 56 years, William Ohl of Bainbridge Mother, Daisy Miele of Williamsport, PA Three children: Mark and JoAnn Ohl of Hamilton, NY Lynn and Dennis Greenly of Williamsport William, Jr. and Lori Ohl of Rio Rico, AZ Four grandchildren: Nicholas Greenly of Pittsburgh, Benjamin Greenly of Germany, Stephen Ohl and Jennifer Ohl, both of Hamilton. Great-grandson, Trent Greenly of Pittsburgh Four siblings: James Miele of Phoenix, Ellen Machnik of Philadelphia, Gloria Wood of Williamsport and Marcia Elion of Williamsport. As well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to call from 7:00-9:00pm on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, April 9th at the funeral chapel with Rev. Patty Wolff, pastor of the East Guilford Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in East Guilford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the East Guilford Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 147 Sidney, NY 13838.
