Marian Schmitt, 94 of Sidney and currently a resident at Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, May 20, 2009. Marian was born on July 25, 1914, daughter of the late Erwin and Pauline (Gebert) Bruder in Brooklyn. On February 12, 1942, Marian married Philip J. Schmitt at Trinity Church in Brooklyn. He predeceased her on October 4, 1964. Marian was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Sidney.
Marian is survived by:
Daughter: Gloria Corcoran
2 sons: Philip J. Schmitt and Paul G. Schmitt
In addition to her parents and husband, Marian was predeceased by two brothers, Albert and Edward Bruder.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 9:30am at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 47 Syracuse St. Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Burial took place at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, NY. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
Arrangements under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney.
