Constance C. McDowell Sidney, NY Constance C. McDowell, 78, of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, August 3, 2012 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta. She was born on September 11, 1933 in Queens, NY. Before retiring and relocating to upstate New York, Connie worked as a secretary for Nyack School District in Nyack, NY. Connie loved her family, as well as all animals. Connie is survived by: Her daughter, Stephanie Michaels and her companion, John Varricchio of New Windsor, NY Grandson, Kyle Michaels of Newburgh, NY Granddaughter, Kara Michaels of Latham, NY Sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Troy Walling of Norwich Nephew, Tyler Walling of FL And Sister-in-law, Ann Traub of CA Connie was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Charles Borchers and her husband of 30 years, Joseph D. McDowell in 1996. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Delaware Valley Humane Society, 101 East Main St. Sidney, NY 13838 or to Catskill Area Hospice & Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Dr. Oneonta, NY 13838.
