Obituary of Leonard A. Alford

Leonard A. Alford, Sr. Afton, NY Leonard A. Alford, Sr. 69 of Afton passed away after a long illness Thursday, November 15, 2012 at his home. He was born June 16, 1943, son of the late Leon and Lula (Dominic) Alford in Afton. Leonard served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963, and was honorably discharged. He married June Beames on October 26, 1963. Len was a salesman for Agway for 40 years. His motto was "Without sales, everything fails". He was a proud member of the NRA and St. Agnes Catholic Church in Afton. Leonard is survived by: Wife of 49 years - June Alford Sister - Darla Wayman and husband Jim. Children - Jennifer Martin and husband Shane Colette Ketzak and husband Robert Ben Alford Grandchildren - Zeb Martin, Ayla Martin, Travis Ketzak, Amanda Ketzak, Alexandria Alford and Zachary Alford Friends may call Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 4-7 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 19, at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Afton.
