Obituary of Chad C. Welcher

Chad C. Welcher Sidney, NY Chad C. Welcher, 34, of Sidney, passed away tragically and unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Masonville. Chad was born on April 11, 1978 in Cooperstown, NY, son of Charles E. and Cynthia (Spandau) Welcher. He attended Sidney High School and worked as a stone cutter. He was a member of the Sidney Center Fire Department. Chad is survived by: His mother, Cynthia Welcher of Fallon, NV; maternal grandmother, Janice Spandau of Lake City, FL; brother, Robert Welcher of Chicago, Ill.; companion, Christina Switkowski of Sidney and her daughters, Ashley (Joey) Johnson and their son, Karter, and Briana Switkowski, as well numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Chad was predeceased by his father, Charles Welcher, in 2011. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 14th at the funeral chapel with Rev. Benjamin Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney.
