Obituary of David G. Fico

David G. Fico Afton, NY David Gerard Fico, 52, of Afton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at his home. David was born on January 11, 1961, son of Philip M. and Ann (Storm) Fico in Brooklyn. David will be missed by his 2 daughters: Alicia Fico and Emalee Fico (Afton); grandson, Noah Lockwood (Afton); mother, Ann Fico (Ridge, NY); brother, Philip Fico, Jr. (Manorville, NY); sister and brother-in-law, Corie and Kelly Lyons (Manorville); niece and nephews: Keri Fico, Philip Fico, III, Jesse Lyons and Jake Lyons; the mother of his children, Denise Fico and his best friend, Nick DeLuca, as well as his 15 beloved cats. He was predeceased by his father, Philip Fico, in September 2012. David had a heart of gold. He loved animals, taking care of numerous strays in addition to his own cats. He had a brilliant imagination. David wrote poetry, and was a published author, of which he was very proud. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
